Sooo delicious food and at good prices. At the moment you sometimes have problems getting through on the line and longer waiting times. But the food makes everything good again.

This is an amazing Thai restaurant. Their menu is offering a great variety of beef, duck, chicken, salmon, and shrimp menus. Of course, they also got the basic pad Thai and soups covered. I have had many plates here, and I everything is simply delicious. I got a wrong take-out the other day, and they had my correct order ready in 15 minutes. And even through in some Beverages. Great service, great food! Simply amazing. Thank you!

We were visiting Freiburg and our daughter recommended Chada Thai to us. We were very satisfied; It was delicious, we sat well and were served very well. And the whole thing was really cheap for this great meal. The next time we are in Freiburg, we will definitely come back to Chada Thai.

Starting with the structure of the menu, which informs you directly about everything, to the friendly service, to beautifully presented and delicious food that you can also afford as a student ... a quasi-perfect restaurant. According to the menu, “Thai for Thais” is cooked here and everything here looks just as authentic. There is also a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan food, including "Vegan Seitan Duck". The homemade Thai iced tea is highly recommended!

Definitely reserve if you can! This place is packed everyday. We didn't know this and arrived on a Tuesday, and there was a large line of people. However, the servers did an amazing job, remembered or place in line despite so many people, and got us a table after some wait. The food arrived amazingly fast and was great. Especially the servers are awesome. Despite the time pressure they are under, they were very friendly and professional. Can recommend to anyone. We were amazed.

The service is friendly but sometimes a bit overwhelmed - with the rush of guests (make a reservation in advance). You can really forget the "typical Thai salad" for € 8.90. Too expensive and ultimately tastes like a German coleslaw, the seafood is also very strange (TK?). The duck and the soups tasted very good, but the quality also varies from day to day.

Stuff zero friendly. They order for us something that we didn’t even wanted. We asked for a table for two and no one came to attend the table. The menu was never provided. Food was ok but extremely spicy.

The food is amazingly good, it's fresh and has lots of vegetarian options (vegetarisches Ente is the best) and it's served in big portions! The service is also good and the ambient of the restaurant is very cozy, it transfers you to another world without being kitch. We always feel very welcome and come back home fully satisfied.

I have been to chada Thai a couple of times and it is really good. The food is delicious and the ambience is lovely. The service is also good. The food is decently priced: I ordered two non alcoholic drinks and a vegetarian main course and it cost me around 15 euro. They accept both cash and card. In the summer, there's also an option of sitting otuside and eating. I highly recommend this place. Also, it might be a good idea to make reservations because it is quite popular and tends to fill up fast.

Our food wasn't how we expected. We were here a couple of times before and it was always very good. But today we gave back the fish. It was a hard completely fried, almost burnt what-ever that tasted like everything but fish. The green curry was so tasteless, we thougt they forgot the curry paste. The drinks were good, also the entree's. They did not thought it would be neccesary to say sorry. Wordless they took back the fish. Maybe it was because the restaurant was completely full. But we will not come back.

Super friendly, had to wait a bit for the food but it was also completely full. Food was great, had the menu for 2. Well worth it for the price and the leftovers we could pack.

I wanted an interesting meal, we found this place on the maps .... very quiet and cozy ... not in the very center The menu in English is very long, there are a lot of dishes of all sorts and I want to try everything ... The food was brought quickly, everything was delicious!

Superlatives are not my thing, but that was the best Asian fish dish of my life! The steamed tilapia in a fantastic lemongrass-lime-chili sauce is amazingly good. The indicated in the card waiting time of 20 minutes is well worth it. I wish we had such a good Thai restaurant with us, I would be a regular guest. If you want delicious food, you have to go!

Service is super friendly, professional and fast. Have good overview, do not crowd and know when to ask something. Food is very well prepared and tasted excellent. I liked to tip and would like to come back.

Best Thai restaurant in Freiburg

We didn’t have a very good time there. It was the first of May 2019, and the place was packed around 7pm. The housekeeper was friendly but overall the experience wasn’t good. It took 40min to get our entrees and another (!) 40min to finally get our main course. On top of that the food wasn’t any better than from any cheap Asian delivery service whatsoever. Kids were playing around everywhere and it was very loud. The kids were funny & it’s not their fault, but it was just the way things came together... so we did enjoy our evening elsewhere after that dinner! ☺️

Used to go here a lot, glad to see that Chafa is still excellent dining years later. Highly recommended!
